Tasks
- Supervising the preparation and approval of Vice presidency activity plans
- Administratively supervising associated organizational units and coordinating between them to ensure seamless integration and maximize available resources.
- Suggesting regulations, rules, and instructions concerning postgraduate studies and scientific research activities at the university, and monitoring their implementation once approved.
- Monitoring the university's scientific council.
- Providing general oversight of the university's scientific research system, developing plans and strategies for continuous enhancement and increased output quality and quantity.
- Managing internal and external scholarship programs for university students on scholarships in collaboration with relevant units.
- Supervising university translation, authorship, and publishing activities.
- Overseeing scientific societies within the university.
- Managing support procedures for faculty members to motivate their research endeavors.
- Supervising the recruitment of exceptional faculty members for the Vice presidency's Authorship, Translation, and Publishing Center.
- Supervising the scientific journals issued by the university.
- Coordinating between the deanships and organizational units associated with the Vice presidency to ensure integration between them and maximum benefit from the available capabilities.
- Coordinating with the university Vice presidency in everything related to the Vice presidency's related services.
- Coordinating with the university Vice presidency for academic affairs in everything related to the Vice presidency's services.
- Coordinating with the university vice president for development and community partnership regarding graduate program quality assurance and accreditation services.
- Supervising and ensuring the availability of the university's needs for knowledge sources.
- Coordinating with the university vice presidency for investment and business development regarding innovative research projects and commercialization of research products.
- Communicating with academic institutions and global research centers to benefit from their experiences developing graduate programs and scientific research.
- Communicating and coordinating with the parties concerned with implementing graduate programs and scientific research projects inside and outside the university.
- Discussing the results of evaluating graduate programs, scientific research projects, and the activities of organizational units associated with the vice presidency to find ways to develop them.
- Representing the university in conferences, seminars, and local, regional, and international committees related to postgraduate studies and scientific research.
- Supervising the process of identifying performance indicators for all activities related to the vice presidency’s work and reviewing and developing them on an ongoing basis after their approval.
- Supervising identifying the vice president's human resources, equipment, and materials needs and following up on their provision.
- Supervising the process of identifying training needs for all the vice presidency employees to nominate them for appropriate training programs.
- Preparing periodic reports on the vice presidency’s activities, associated organizational units, achievements, and proposals for developing their performance.
- Any other tasks assigned within the limits of the jurisdiction.
